Frank Turner Gets Hardcore
We all know and love Frank Turner for his lo-fi acoustic jams. With that being said, you may not know that Frank Turner fronts a hardcore band called Mongol Horde. This morning they announced that they will be releasing their first full LP in the beginning of a new year, followed by a tour. See an official statement bellow:
Fans were teased last year with a couple demos released by Frank’s side project Möngöl Hörde. The songs saw a return to the raw aggressive sound of Turner’s earlier band Million Dead with old Million Dead bandmate Ben Dawson joining Turner and Matt Nasir (current Sleeping Souls fixture). “I love Mongol Horde and it is a lot of fun but it is a liberating musical project for me but it is definitely a side project so the amount of time I can dedicate to it is limited”.Despite this however, it seems that an album may be on the horizon for the band with Frank going into detail by saying “We have recorded the music for an album, I have yet to record the vocals. Hopefully we will have an album out in January followed by a tour”.
